We live in suburbia and one of the pitfalls of an outdoor koi pond and bird feeders is unwanted wildlife. Nice to see but I wish they would go to someone else’s yard. Besides the hordes of gray and red squirrels, chipmunks and occasional feral cat, we see plenty of deer and wild turkey. Today a new pest showed up – Mr. & Mrs. Duck. They have been eyeing the winter pond as a potential love nest….I say NIMBY! Looks like we’ll need to research how to discourage ducks from making your koi pond their home.
