Well it’s not quite like Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin but today I brought home the leftover tosai from the UMKC growout competition selection. Pond digger’s company sponsored the 2015 growout competition and ten tosai were purchased from Genkikoi. They are all of the kohaku variety and come from Ogata Koi Farm (I looked them up online, they have a very large operation in Japan). My koi has been dubbed Woody since it has a red head. I thought it wasn’t particularly attractive but it’s not bad.
Once home, I floated the bag with Woody in the tosai tank. All of them were rushing up to the bag to inspect what was in it. Poor Woody seemed a little unnerved by the attention. Woody is swimming with the pack now and acts as silly as the rest of them.
