New fun in a FedEx box!

A few weeks ago I posted about some Sakai fish farm tosai being sold by GenkiKoi in California. Sakai fish farm is a top koi breeder, located in Hiroshima, Japan. While I wasn’t planning to get two little tosai – they seemed to be a more interesting option than the midorigoi that I had been eyeing. After much waffling and indecision I decided to take numbers 7 and 10

The best way to pick a koi is to go see the koi in person. In this case, I trust GenkiKoi to import and sell quality koi. Same guy that sold us the horde of 17 a few weeks ago. So we have two new koi taking up residence in the little guys vat

I think they were a little bit stressed getting thrown in with the rest but I just checked on them and they are swimming with the crowd already. Here’s a video of the small koi:
Everyone else seems to be doing fine. We have been busy discouraging Mr. and Mrs. Duck. Just like last year, they skulk around and try to claim the pond as their spring home. The pond digger resorts to many methods to scare them off and we have not seen them for about a week now.
