We lost a day and a half of work last week when we had our little slipped liner incident. The pond digger was working like a dog to get some of the pond edging finished since there were some people coming in for my father in law’s 80th birthday and they wanted to see the madness in person. While we had hoped to have more of the upper pond taken care of, setting the river jacks in a pleasing pattern is not “quick” work. The pond was also a little dusty from the earlier mishap and the visibility is just getting to about four feet deep today. The koi were returned to the upper pond ad like to hand out under the little rock overhangs that have been created.

Meanwhile, the lower pond has been exposed to a lot of sun and its crystal clear quality is now beginning to lean towards the green soup look. I’m hoping the pond will cycle quickly through its green stage. I think we’ll put a UV light on the lower pond because we’re somewhat impatient.
So more weekends of landscaping and creating decking or something to camouflage the equipment pits – it never ends!
