Yesterday the pond was still a thick pea green soup (which the koi seem to love). The green pond is caused by an algae explosion and millions of little algae cells floating around. Today, the algae is gone. The water is not clear yet, it looks like dusty water when you first start the pond. We think this overnight change is due to the change of running the skimmer water through the RDF, the painted moving bed filter and maybe the super bacteria packet.
Crossing my fingers the water will continue to clear! bad angle since the pond reflects the green trees but there is a dramatic difference from other pea soup pond photos.
