Thanksgiving weekend = pond work

Having a few days off means the pond digger is hard at work doing stuff. He put a smaller pump on the indoor pool filtration system and we actually have clearer water. Sometimes changing the water too fast never gave the floating debris a chance to settle. He also added in a no niche skimmer to help with the surface debris.

No niche skimmer set-up. The pond digger picked up the scaffolding on Black Friday and it makes a perfect stand for the equipment. We left the quarantine tank under the rolling scaffold.

Outside the concrete team came on Black Friday for part one of the concrete pour. You can see more photos and a video of that activity here – LINK

Dan will be coming back on Saturday to build the walls and the second stage of pouring concrete will be later this week. The biggest challenge has been keeping the hole dry. While not too bad, we’re definitely going to have a lot of landscaping work to do this spring.
